Kenneth A. Goss is of counsel to Baldini Lang LLC and brings almost two decades of legal experience focused on complex commercial law matters including in the areas of corporate and business law, contract, franchise, leasing and construction.
Ken’s general corporate and business law practice currently focuses on advising established and startup entities on a wide variety of legal matters from business formation to client and marketing agreements to business sales.
Ken counsels both franchisors and franchisees on a wide variety of franchise and distribution matters. His experience includes establishing franchise systems from the structuring of business entities through to the registration of the franchise disclosure document and documenting supply, distribution and marketing relationships.
Ken represents commercial landlords and tenants such as credit unions and franchises in the leasing of hundreds of thousands of square feet of space in office buildings, shopping centers, retail and mixed-use properties in urban and suburban settings and assisting with amendments, renewals and landlord-tenant disputes.
Ken has for years provided outside general counsel services. This includes general commercial legal services as well as preparing responses to requests for proposals and other procurement related contracts and negotiating these contracts. Relevant projects include bids in the construction, nuclear and railroad industries.
Prior to joining the firm, Ken was Senior Counsel to the franchisor of a leading gourmet gift concept, which has grown to over a thousand retail locations domestically and in more than eleven countries worldwide. For years Ken was instrumental in establishing the corporation’s legal department and provided advice and counseling on all legal matters in relation to its domestic and international operations.
Before going in house, Ken was engaged in a transactional business law and commercial litigation practice counseling startup and established clients on a broad range of corporate, commercial and business law matters and the resolution of disputes through mediation, arbitration and litigation.
Ken holds Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from Quinnipiac University.
Ken is a member of the Connecticut and New York Bars and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for Connecticut and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Ken lives with his wife and family in Fairfield County.
