Matt has extensive experience reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and providing counsel to financial institutions and financial technology vendors across the country regarding critical and complex financial technology transactions. Matt also provides general counsel services to clients, including handling employment matters, dispute resolution, and litigation management, leases, advertising review, subpoenas, and internal investigations.

Before co-founding Baldini Lang LLC, Matt founded and operated Baldini Law, LLC, where Matt built a strong, loyal, and diverse client base of start-up, emerging, and mid-market business clients.

Before Baldini Law LLC, Matt was the General Counsel for Edible Arrangements International, where he was responsible for legal operations of an international franchise system of over 1000 retail stores. Matt’s responsibilities included the company’s franchise disclosure document, franchise agreements, and franchise compliance program.

Before Edible Arrangements, Matt was the Assistant General Counsel for Open Solutions Inc., a technology company that developed and provided software and outsourcing solutions to credit unions and banks. Matt was responsible for the legal operations of the company’s credit union business division.

Before Open Solutions, Matt worked for the General Electric Company where he was General Counsel for GE Sensing, a business division that designed and manufactured sensing instruments and systems; and Litigation & Compliance Counsel for GE Industrial Systems, a business division that manufactured and supplied electrical distribution and control products and services.

Matt began his legal career as a commercial litigation attorney in private practice with Robinson & Cole in Hartford, CT, and Cole, Schotz, Meisel, Forman & Leonard in Hackensack, NJ.

Matt received his Juris Doctorate from the Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was Associate Editor of the Seton Hall Law Review. Matt was an honors graduate, captain of the men’s basketball team, and Scholar-Athlete of the Year at Pace University.

Matt is a member of the Connecticut, New Jersey, and Florida Bars.
